I don’t know why it took me 25 years. Perhaps it’s the plethora of farmers markets in D.C. or maybe its the scarcity of money-so-i-might-as-well-get-my-money’s-worth mentality.
Whatever it is — I’ve been converted. Now a days, fast food is revolting and going out to eat is not as glamorous. Just give me a zucchini/bell pepper/sweet potato and I’m in heaven. Then come along articles like this in the NY Times– and I really get excited. Don’t you just love the colors?
